SweeTango® Apple Crisp
CRAVE restaurants in the Twin Cities metropolitan area recently selected SweeTango® apples to be the main ingredient in the swanky chain’s newest dessert of the month.
The decadent new creation, “Pepin Heights SweeTango® Apple Crisp” is served on a folded oatmeal cookie next to the perfect accompaniment…a scoop of Sonny’s Vanilla Ice Cream.
To highlight the complex flavor of the apple, CRAVE Culinary Director Jim Kyndberg chose to skip many of the ingredients found in traditional apple crisp recipes. In fact, you won’t find so much as a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger anywhere. Instead, the fall flavors of SweeTango® apples give this treat the flavor customers are clamoring to try.
Kyndberg says the dessert has been such a hit it will continue to be listed as the featured dessert in all CRAVE restaurants through October.
