If you’re in the mood for a salad, sliced SweeTango apples go exceptionally well in a mixed greens salad with Gorgonzola and walnuts. A glass of Prosecco adds a nice finish.
1 medium SweeTango apple chopped into 1 inch pieces
8 ounces Romaine chopped
2 tablespoon Gorgonzola Cheese
2 ounces Walnuts chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup Italian vinaigrette separate recipe
Slice off 2 sides of SweeTango apple alongside the core.
Cut long slices for garnish and then the rest into 1/2 inch cube pieces.
Wash and cut lettuce.
Dry the lettuce as much as possible in colander. Prepare cheese.
Chop up walnuts and mix the vinaigrette into lettuce.
Add the chopped walnuts, 3/4 of the walnuts and 3/4 Gorgonzola cheese.
Place and garnish with remaining walnuts, cranberries and more Gorgonzola chesse.
Garnish the rim of salad along plate with the sliced apples.
